BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A doctor who co-owned a Louisiana pain management clinic has pleaded guilty in a scheme to get about $336,000 in health care kickbacks.
The U.S. Attorney in Baton Rouge says 58-year-old Gray Wesley Barrow of Baton Rouge pleaded guilty to conspiracy.
According to plea documents, he agreed to send urine specimens from his patients to a drug testing lab in exchange for a percentage of reimbursements from Medicare and other health care programs. Those added up to about $336,000 from April 2014 through July 2016.
A news release Wednesday said Barrow entered the plea Tuesday before U.S. District Judge Brian Jackson.
Barrow was a co-owner of Louisiana Spine & Sports LLC.
