SLIDELL, La. (AP) - Funeral plans have been announced for a Louisiana police officer who died weeks after an on-duty motorcycle wreck.

The Slidell Police Department says services for Officer Jason Seals are scheduled for noon Wednesday at the Northshore Harbor Center in Slidell. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m.

After the services, there will be a police procession to Forest Lawn Cemetery

Seals died Saturday. He was injured in September as he participated in a funeral escort. Police said he was thrown from his motorcycle after it struck a vehicle that unexpectedly pulled in front of him.
