WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) - A juvenile was wounded after an exchange of gunfire between two cars in North Carolina.

Winston-Salem police told local news sources 29-year-old Daniel Ray Clinard was driving with his child on Business Interstate 40 Sunday when a car drove up alongside him and a passenger fired several shots.

Police said Clinard had a weapon as well and returned fire. The juvenile driver of the other car was struck in the neck and was taken to a local hospital for injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening. Neither Clinard nor the child was hurt.

Authorities determined the car the juvenile was driving had been stolen from another area.

The investigation into the incident continues.
