GROTON, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont police chief has gone back to work after he and his wife were injured in a collision in which the other driver died.
The Caledonian-Record reports St. Johnsbury Police Chief Tim Page returned to the office Tuesday, close to a week after the crash.
Page and his wife Colleen were heading out to dinner Nov. 3 when 48-year-old Davan Ostrover’s vehicle crossed the center line and collided with Page’s car.
Page suffered a broken hand and a broken rib, and his wife was treated for serious injuries at a New Hampshire hospital.
Ostrover died at the scene. Police say he was not wearing a seat belt.
St. Johnsbury Police Capt. Jason Gray was running the department in Page’s absence.
