Heisman Trophy winner and ESPN announcer Tim Tebow is joining Chargers announcer Matt “Money” Smith and ESPN reporter Maria Taylor in hosting a new physical competition series produced by LeBron James on CBS.
The series “Million Dollar Mile,” part of CBS’ 2019 lineup, will give athletes a chance to win $1 million every time they complete a challenging, citywide obstacle course.
“Watching good people compete at their highest ability is always inspirational to me,” Mr. Tebow said in a statement Monday. “’Million Dollar Mile’ is a show that does just that — it motivates, thrills, and is aspirational and I’m excited to be hosting this show.”
The 10-episode series is executive produced by Mr. James’ and Maverick Carter’s SpringHill Entertainment, along with Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan with Fly on the Wall Entertainment and Warner Horizon Unscripted & Alternative Television, Deadline reported.
