CLEVELAND, N.D. (AP) - A Montpellier man was hurt but not seriously when the semitrailer he was driving collided with a train.

The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office says 44-year-old Shane Steele tried to cross the tracks at a rural crossing Thursday afternoon, and a BNSF Railway train loaded with coal crashed through the trailer loaded with grain.

KQDJ radio reports Steele was taken to a Jamestown hospital with injuries authorities said were not life threatening.
