RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Actor Boris Kodjoe will address graduates and their families at Virginia Commonwealth University’s commencement exercises this weekend.

The ceremony starts at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Richmond Coliseum. Students will receive undergraduate, graduate and professional degrees.

Kodjoe was a 1996 graduate of the VCU School of Business and a standout tennis player. He was inducted into the school’s Athletics Hall of Fame in 2017.



He has appeared in TV shows including “Boston Public” and “Soul Food” as well as feature films including “Love & Basketball” and “Madea’s Family Reunion.”
