BOSTON (AP) - The daughter of the late Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. will be in Boston to discuss her book “Hard Questions, Heart Answers” in a special lecture series.
Bernice A. King, a minister and attorney, will be part of the Boston Public Library’s 2018 Lowell Lecture Series Thursday, which features prominent social justice activists.
King has been vocal in her criticism of recent police violence against African-Americans. She also previously said the election of Donald Trump “is the opportunity for America to correct itself,” as racism becomes an issue widely debated.
She is the CEO of the King Center for Nonviolent Social Change that was established in 1968 in memory of her father.
Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis after individuals with tickets are seated.
