POSTVILLE, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say a man died after a tree fell on him in northeast Iowa.
The accident occurred Sunday afternoon in Postville. The Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office says the man had been cutting down the tree when it fell and pinned him underneath. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sheriff’s office identified him as 65-year-old Stephen Smith, who lived in Postville.
