REDWOOD, Miss. (AP) - A Mississippi man has died after his car ran off the road and was submerged in water.
Mason Cummings, a 20-year-old Vicksburg resident, had been missing since Friday.
Local media report friends of Cummings found his 2012 Honda Accord submerged on Sunday off Mississippi 465 north of Redwood.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol says Cummings car appears to have run off the road. Authorities say he appeared to have died from injuries sustained in the crash.
Divers from the Vicksburg Fire Department recovered the car and Cummings’ body.
