KENT, Conn. (AP) - Authorities say a woman has died and three other people are seriously injured from a two-car collision in Connecticut.

Twenty-two-year-old Deanna Lynn Silvernail of Salisbury was a passenger in an SUV that collided with another Friday evening.

Police say Silvernail was thrown from the vehicle down a steep embankment and was pronounced dead at the scene. Both drivers and one passenger all suffered serious injuries and were taken to area hospitals.

Officials say both SUVs were in their respective lanes, and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
