SISTERS, Ore. (AP) - Authorities say three people in a small plane that crashed at a private airport in central Oregon weren’t injured.

The Deschutes County sheriff’s office says the twin-engine plane hit a downdraft and crashed just short of the runway at Sisters Eagle Airport on Friday.

KTVZ-TV reports that airport owner Benjamin Benson was one of the three occupants of the aircraft that sustained extensive damage after its landing gear collapsed and the plane skidded down the runway.

The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
