RIVERTON, Wyo. (AP) - Fremont County School District No. 25 Superintendent Terry Snyder says the district is waiting for a court ruling regarding the proposed expulsion of some Riverton high school students.
Snyder tells the Casper Star-Tribune that the court matter concerns whether the district must release the names of victims to the students facing expulsion.
Little information has been released about what happened, but Snyder earlier said the incident that occurred in Natrona County could be characterized as incorporating hazing and bullying as part of an initiation.
He declined to say how many students are suspended and facing expulsion.
Separately, the Natrona County District Attorney’s Office has been given details of the incident by investigators.
