ROGERS, Ark. (AP) - Rep. Jana Della Rosa has won by three votes in a second recount in the GOP primary for Arkansas’ House District 90.

The Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that Tuesday’s final but unofficial results showed Della Rosa of Rogers with 1,069 votes to first-time candidate Kendon Underwood’s 1,066.

Underwood, of Cave Springs, came within three votes of Della Rosa in last week’s Republican primary. The Benton County Election Commission held a recount Thursday because the margin was so close. That result added an uncounted absentee vote in the race to Della Rosa’s total, giving her a four-vote lead.

Underwood asked for a second recount, which occurred Tuesday. The count of the original ballots was the same, but a provision ballot declared valid added one more vote for Underwood.

Della Rosa faces Democratic nominee Kati McFarland in the November general election.
