ST. LOUIS (AP) - A 51-year-old man is dead after being fatally shot in St. Louis’ popular Soulard entertainment district.
Police on Tuesday identified the victim as John Keene. He was found shot in front of Bastille nightclub around 12:15 a.m. Tuesday.
Keene had been shot in the abdomen and was pronounced dead at the scene. No arrests have been made.
It was the first fatal shooting in Soulard, south of downtown, since 2016. The neighborhood, one of the oldest in the city, features restaurants, bars and other entertainment venues.
