A Little Caesars employee needed to exercise his Second Amendment rights over the weekend to ward off an attack by a man in a demonic clown mask.

Heriberto Feliciano, 28, shot and killed the man who attacked him on Saturday after closing up shop at a Little Caesars pizzeria in Holly Hill, Florida.

“This is unusual for the city of Holly Hill, and we take this very seriously,” Holly Hill Police Chief Stephen Aldrich told a CBS affiliate in Orlando. “It was an ambush type of an attack and it does appear that [Feliciano] was defending himself.”

“Please help me. Please. He hit me in the face with a piece of wood,” Mr. Feliciano said in a 911 call released after the attack, an ABC affiliate reported. “He tried to stab me with a pair of scissors. He hit me in the face with a big piece of wood.”

Surveillance video released by police shows Mr. Feliciano setting the Daytona area restaurant’s alarm before exiting the building. He was attacked immediately upon stepping toward the parking lot.

“I’m glad that he was able to defend himself and that he’s OK,” Chief Aldrich said. “It’s just unfortunate that this whole episode occurred.”

The attacker has not yet been identified by police. He died after arriving at a local hospital.
