BECKLEY, W.Va. (AP) - Eight farm-to-table dinners will take place this summer at West Virginia state parks to promote locally produced food.
The Register-Herald reports the first event will be June 14 at Pipestem Resort State Park.
The dinners are a co-venture among state parks, the West Virginia Department of Agriculture, West Virginia Farmer’s Market Association and the West Virginia Department of Natural Resources as a way to promote locally grown food and produce.
Dinners also will take place at:
-Cacapon Resort State Park on June 21.
-Cass Scenic Railroad Historical State Park on Aug. 2.
-Chief Logan Lodge on Aug. 9.
-North Bend State Park on Aug. 16.
-Holly River State Park on Aug. 30.
-Hawks Nest State Park on Sept. 13.
-Blackwater Falls State Park on Sept. 27.
