KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) - Two people who allegedly fled the scene of a carjacking near Hoover Dam were apprehended more than 70 miles (113 kilometers) away in Kingman, Arizona.

The Kingman Daily Miner reports the incident started Saturday night in North Las Vegas when shots were allegedly fired at a commercial vehicle from the suspect vehicle south of the Hoover Dam. The driver was uninjured but bullets struck the vehicle’s radiator.

An Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper responding to the carjacking call began trailing the vehicle on Highway 93. The suspect vehicle ran over stop sticks as the pursuit headed south before crossing a center turn lane and colliding with a bus in Kingman.



A male and female were taken into custody after trying to flee on foot.

No passengers were injured in the bus crash.
