STAPLETON, Neb. (AP) - Authorities say a North Platte man died when his car collided with an oncoming semitrailer in central Nebraska.
The collision occurred a little after 11 a.m. Thursday, 13 miles (22 kilometers) north of Stapleton on U.S. Highway 83. Nebraska State Patrol Capt. Marty Denton says the northbound car crossed into the path of the southbound big rig.
The car driver died at the scene. He was identified as Marvin Jensen. The trucker wasn’t injured. He’s been identified as Daniel Brinkley, who lives in Oklahoma.
The collision is being investigated.
