STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) - The owner of a trash removal business in Connecticut has pleaded guilty to not filing tax returns since 2004.

Prosecutors say 71-year-old Wayne Margarum, of Stamford, entered his plea Thursday to willful failure to file an income tax return.

Margarum has owned and operated Margarum Refuse for the past 40 years. The company services customers in Stamford and parts of Westchester County, New York, with fees ranging from $25 to $60 per month.

Margarum has agreed to pay more than $350,000 in restitution to the U.S. Treasury and pay all outstanding taxes, interest and penalties.

He has been released on bond pending sentencing, when he will face up to two years in prison.
