CENTRALIA, Wash. (AP) - Authorities say a 21-year-old man was killed in western Washington after a gun was accidentally fired.

The Chronicle reports deputies from the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office were called to a Pe Ell home Saturday morning to a report of an accidental gunshot wound.

The sheriff’s office says the man’s 20-year-old brother was handling the gun when it fired. A bullet struck the man.



Authorities say the man died on the way to the hospital. The sheriff’s office has not released his name.

The sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate the shooting.
