PHOENIX (AP) - Police say a man and a woman have been killed in separate traffic accidents while on foot.

Sgt. Alan R. Pfohl says the first accident occurred about 5:15 a.m. Friday when a 34-year-old man was struck by a northbound truck as he crossed North 27th Avenue in the 6100 block. Michael Rohrer not in a crosswalk and the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.

The second accident occurred about 7:45 a.m. Friday when 66-year-old Denise-Mayre Sileci-Caruso was acting erratically as she ran away from a non-injury collision involving a vehicle.



Pfohl says she died after being struck by a pickup truck leaving a driveway in the 4900 block of East Shea Boulevard. The driver fled westbound on Shea in a silver-colored Ford F150 four-door pickup.
