The Washington Nationals have reportedly ordered last-year’s first-round draft pick to leave the team’s spring-training activities.
Seth Romero, 21, was sent home for violating team policies, according to multiple news outlets Monday evening, though it wasn’t specified what he had done.
“A club spokesman said Romero violated club policy. Unclear as to how long he will be gone or the specific policy violated,” wrote Jeff Passan of YahooSports.

The Nationals got Romero with the 25th pick in the draft last June, which was considered a steal based on pure talent. But he had been kicked off the University of Houston baseball team, which let him slip as low as he did.
Baseball America once ranked Romero as high as the No. 10 MLB draft prospect.
The offenses that got him first suspended and then booted from the Cougars included being photographed with a bong, failing a drug test, and fighting with a teammate.
