Elderly man dies in apartment fire in suburban Denver

DENVER (AP) - Authorities say an elderly man is dead after a small fire broke out at an apartment complex in suburban Denver.

Wheat Ridge police spokeswoman Sara Spaulding tells The Denver Post the fire at the Vintage Place apartments started Friday afternoon. Investigators have not released the victim’s name or said what caused the fire.

The West Metro Fire Protection District is investigating.
