RENO, Nev. (AP) - A memorial service has been scheduled for a 29-year-old Reno, Nevada, native who died earlier this month in a helicopter crash in New York City.

The Reno Gazette-Journal reports family and friends will remember the life of Tristan Hill in a service Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Reno.

The New York resident died in the March 11 crash in the East River that killed five.

Tristan Hill graduated from Reno’s Galena High School and played basketball for San Joaquin Delta College and Missouri Valley College.

He founded a basketball camp to support the Reno Ballers team of the Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows. He was engaged to be married in May.

Brendan Hill says his brother knew no strangers as “everyone was already his friend.”
