ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) - The Florida Highway Patrol says a woman died in a head-on crash when she veered into the wrong lane, hitting a car carrying four teenagers.
In a news release, troopers said alcohol was a factor in the Sunday night crash in St. Petersburg. They said 26-year-old Ambreuna Brown struck a car driven by 18-year-old Ryan Matthews.
Troopers said Brown was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, where she died. Matthews and his passengers - 16-year-old Vivian Antenucci, 17-year-old Shelly Melendez Matos and 17-year-old Jacob Hutfilz - were all taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
