Police: 1 man dead, another injured in drug-related shooting

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say one man is dead and another is critically injured after a drug-related shooting in Las Vegas.

Lt. Ray Spencer tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal that police received reports of the shooting Tuesday night.

Spencer says a man in his late teens or early 20s went into an apartment at The Suites to buy drugs from another man in his 30s, but left after a dispute.

He says the younger man returned shortly with a handgun.

Spencer says both men opened fire at each other and both were shot.

A woman and a child were also present during the shooting, but were not hurt.

Spencer says the younger man died at the scene and the older man was taken to a hospital.
