LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Authorities say a pedestrian has been killed crossing a street in north Lincoln.

Police and medics were sent to the scene just after 11:15 p.m. Monday. Police say a southbound vehicle struck the man as he walked west across North 48th Street. Police Capt. Bob Farber says the man’s been identified as 60-year-old Edward Poltack, who lived in Lincoln.

The accident is being investigated. The vehicle driver’s name hasn’t been released.
