NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Forecasters say severe thunderstorms are likely in parts of Tennessee and could bring the threat of tornadoes, hail and damaging winds.

The National Weather Service says the greatest threat from the system moving into the state will likely occur Monday afternoon and early evening.

The weather service says central sections of the state would be most at risk, including Nashville, as the storm heads north from Alabama.
