OPINION:
The president is on the right track pushing ahead with plans to build a wall to defend our border from illegal interlopers. However, he is way behind the times with his desire to physically “see through” the wall.
We are the technologically advanced defenders in this war to protect our borders and nation. We can observe what the wannabe illegals are up to with cameras and drones, while the potential illegal-entry criminals must rely solely on their intelligence-collecting ability, which makes seeing through our wall a greater asset to them than to us. It allows them to see exactly where our patrols are deployed and the defensive measures we’re implementing against them.
Denying our interloper enemy intelligence of our border agents’ whereabouts and their planned countermeasures gives us the tactical advantage in the immediate defense of our wall. It also gives us the long-run strategic advantage in the economic deployment of assets, and reduced expenditures with regard to fewer legal detentions and prosecutorial measures.
Mr. President, when we put down money to build that wall, let’s spend it in non-congressional style and do it right the first time.
