BOSTON (AP) - Prosecutors have released more information, including video, in an effort to find the driver responsible for striking and killing a father of five in Boston last month.
The Suffolk district attorney’s office says based on witness statements, video , and the analysis of debris left at the scene, investigators think the vehicle that struck 40-year-old Pierre Desir in the city’s Mattapan neighborhood on May 26 was an older, dark-colored Chrysler 300, most likely blue or black.
The four-door sedan likely sustained front-end and headlight damage and possible windshield damage. Investigators are asking area auto body shops that may have worked on such a vehicle to contact authorities.
Desir was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident that occurred shortly after midnight, while the car drove from the scene.
