BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - State officials say more than 75,000 gallons of saltwater has been spilled at disposal well near Crosby.

The Oil and Gas Division says the spill happened Sunday at a Crosby Water Systems well. The spill was blamed on a piping and valve connection leak.

The agency says the saltwater was contained on the site. It says state inspector has visited the site and will monitor cleanup.

Saltwater is a byproduct of oil and gas production.
