NORWALK, Conn. (AP) - A Connecticut high school athletic trainer leapt into action and saved a parent suffering from a seizure at a game.

The Hour reports Brien McMahon High School trainer Ashley-Ann Labrador was working a junior varsity event last month at the Norwalk school when a parent suffered a seizure. The woman started foaming at the mouth and stopped breathing.

Labrador quickly began administering CPR. During a second round of chest compressions, the woman came to.



Brien McMahon High School athletic director Joe Madaffari praised Labrador’s swift actions.

Labrador says she had help from a parent who caught the woman as she fell and emergency personnel who later arrived at the scene. She renews her CPR certification every two years and recently became a certified first aid and CPR instructor.
