BILLLINGS, Mont. (AP) - A 20-year-old Billings man has died of injuries he suffered when a car struck him from behind as he was walking along a street early on May 29.

Billings police say the man died Saturday evening. Yellowstone County Coroner Cliff Mahoney didn’t release his name.

Tesha Dawn Williams was charged last week with negligent vehicular assault and misdemeanor aggravated DUI along with criminal endangerment and failing to remain at the scene of the crash. She did not enter a plea.

It was not immediately clear if the charges against Williams would be changed.

A woman who was walking with the victim said they heard squealing tires before he was struck. Court records say Williams’ blood-alcohol level was 0.223 percent, nearly three times the limit at which a person is considered legally intoxicated.
