BARTOW, Fla. (AP) - A Florida man has pleaded no contest to DUI manslaughter in a fatal drunken driving crash.

The Ledger reports that 26-year-old Travis Wade Coats entered his plea Friday. He faces up to 15 years in prison at his Aug. 3 sentencing.

Authorities say Coats was driving the wrong way on Interstate 4 in Polk County in January 2017 when he crashed head-on into Demerrio Alistaire Tobler’s car. Tobler died at the scene.

Coats’ blood alcohol level measured 0.18 percent after the crash. Florida law considers a driver impaired at 0.08 percent.
