LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Authorities say recent heavy rains have forced closure of four more bridges in Lancaster County.
A county news release said Wednesday that county engineer Pam Dingman determined that the four pose “a clear and present danger to the traveling public” because of erosion.
One of them, near Stagecoach Lake, serves about 260 vehicles a day. The three others are used by far fewer motorists.
The county has 14 bridges or box culvert structures closed because of safety issues.
