Motorcyclist killed in collision with public transit bus

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A motorcyclist has died in a collision with a public transit bus in Rhode Island.

Police say the crash happened around 5 p.m. Monday in Providence when the motorcyclist struck a Rhode Island Public Transit Authority bus.

The 24-year-old motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police have not identified the man.

Police say two motorcyclists who accompanied the driver involved in the crash were unharmed.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
