TRUMBULL, Conn. (AP) - State police now say two people have died in a late-night rollover crash in Trumbull.
The single-vehicle crash occurred at about 11 p.m. Thursday between exits 7 and 8 on Route 8. The crash happened near the Bridgeport/Trumbull border where Route 25 merges with Route 8.
Police say the car veered off the road to the right and struck a stone wall before rolling.
The front seat passenger, identified as 22-year-old Indira Kranwinkel, of Bridgeport, was ejected from the vehicle. She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police say the male driver had no ID and they are still trying to identify him.
The road was closed for a period but re-opened in time for the morning commute.
The crash remains under investigation.
