PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire’s Great Bay Community College is getting a new president.

Trustees at the Community College System of New Hampshire have voted unanimously to appoint Pelema Morrice to lead the school, starting in August. Morrice previously served as vice provost at the University of Missouri and chief enrollment officer at Bryn Mawr College in Pennslyvania. Trustees say they were impressed by his passion for community colleges and experience as an innovative, strategic leader.

Morrice succeeds Wildolfo Arvelo, who left last fall to become the state director of economic development.
