SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Firefighters blame a bug bomb for starting a fire inside a home in Georgia.

The Savannah Morning News reports nobody was injured when the small fire started in the laundry room of a house in Savannah.

Fire officials said in a news release that smoke filled the house after the residents used bug bombs to fumigate for cockroaches. Firefighters concluded fumes from the bug foggers were ignited by the small flame of a pilot light on a hot water heater in the laundry room.

Firefighters extinguished the fire Thursday night and prevented it from spreading to other parts of the home.
