PERTH AMBOY, N.J. (AP) - State police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a motorcyclist on a major highway in central New Jersey.
Rafal Nowak was riding on the State Street exit ramp of northbound Route 440 in Perth Amboy when he was struck around 6:15 a.m. Thursday. The 41-year-old Old Bridge man was pronounced dead there a short time later.
The driver of the car that struck Nowak drove off and remained at large Friday.
No other injuries were reported in the accident, which caused the ramp to be closed for about four hours and snarled traffic during the morning commute.
