OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Residents in much of Nebraska are bracing for potentially dangerous weather heading into the weekend.
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch until 11 p.m. Friday for most of the central section of the state, as well as a hazardous weather outlook for parts of western, north central and eastern Nebraska. The service says residents in the path of storms Friday overnight into Saturday can expect large hail, damaging winds, heavy rain and frequent lightning. The storms could also produce tornadoes.
