WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) - A teenage boy from Williston who was riding in the bed of a pickup truck died after being thrown out when the pickup went over ruts in a Williams County gravel road.
The Highway Patrol says the incident happened shortly before 10:30 p.m. Saturday about a mile north of Williston.
The 16-year-old boy who was ejected from the bed of the pickup was taken to a Williston hospital, where he died of his injuries. He wasn’t identified.
A 15-year-old boy was driving the truck, which had two other passengers. None was injured.
