TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Thick humid air hangs over New Jersey while the state faces several days of heavy rain and thunderstorms that could cause flooding.
The National Weather Service says the greatest risk for heavy rainfall favors the western parts of the state early in the week and then will shift toward the coast on Wednesday and Thursday.
The flood risk will increase as soil becomes saturated and rivers and creeks rise.
A high rip current risk is in effect through Monday evening.
