BOSTON (AP) - The price of gasoline in Massachusetts is down three cents this week.
AAA Northeast says Monday its weekly survey found self-serve regular selling for an average of $2.80 per gallon, a decrease from $2.83.
That’s four cents lower than the national average of $2.84. The average price of gasoline in Massachusetts is 59 cents higher than it was a year ago.
AAA found gas in the state selling for as low as $2.61 per gallon to as high as $3.09.
Public and Legislative Affairs Director Mary Maguire says crude oil prices are under $70 a barrel, and domestic oil production is at an all-time high -“acting as a buffer” to price increases.
