HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) - Police in Connecticut say a pedestrian was killed by a car as she was crossing the street.

Fifty-year-old Kristin Wilczynski of New Haven was crossing a street Friday evening in Hamden when she was hit by 28-year-old Courtney Bothwell of North Haven.

She later died from her injuries in Yale-New Haven Hospital. The Hamden Police Department is investigating the crash, and is asking the public to reach out with any information. As of Sunday, Bothwell has not been charged. She was traveling southbound on Dixwell Avenue and merging when the collision occurred.
