SOUTH LONDONDERRY, Vermont (AP) - Police say a speeding car struck a pick-up truck in a crash that left two dead and two injured.
Vermont State Police say a white Volkswagen was speeding northbound on Route 100 Saturday night when it began to swerve and struck a Chevy pick-up truck traveling southbound.
The Volkswagen then spun violently, sending its engine into the woods. Police say responders found the driver of the Volkswagen and a female passenger dead at the scene.
Police are notifying next of kin and haven’t released the names of the deceased.
The eight-year-old and 65-year-old passengers of the pick-up truck were transported to an area hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
