WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities are investigating an early morning blaze that left one man dead and another man with minor injuries. A woman and her eight-year-old son were unharmed.

Suffolk County police say a 911 call about the fire on 15th Street in West Babylon, New York, came in shortly before 6 a.m. Sunday.

The four people were in the home at the time.



Authorities say James Vella, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other man was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and smoke inhalation.
