, (AP) — Nestor Heredia hit a walk-off two-run single with two outs in the seventh inning, as the DSL Cubs2 topped the DSL Rangers2 4-3 in the first game of a doubleheader on Wednesday.

The DSL Cubs2 scored two runs in the fifth before DSL Rangers2 answered in the next half-inning when Jember Gutierrez scored on a wild pitch to take a 3-2 lead.

Reliever Francisco Fermin (1-0) picked up the win after he struck out one and walked three while allowing one run over two innings. Abrahan Lopez (0-2) went 1 2/3 innings, allowing two runs and two hits in the Dominican Summer League game. He also struck out two and walked two.



Despite the loss, DSL Rangers2 is 4-1 against DSL Cubs2 this season.
