CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) — Jack Zoellner scored the decisive run on a wild pitch in the sixth inning, as the GCL Phillies East defeated the GCL Phillies West 2-1 in the second game of a doubleheader on Tuesday.

Zoellner scored after he reached base with a single, advanced to second on a single by Jake Holmes and then went to third on an out.

The wild pitch by Conley scored Zoellner to give the GCL Phillies East a 2-1 lead.



In the bottom of the third, GCL Phillies East took the lead on a single by Nicolas Torres that scored Logan Simmons. GCL Phillies West answered in the sixth inning when Corbin Williams scored on a wild pitch.

Junior Tejada (1-0) got the win in relief while Jaylen Smith (0-1) took the loss in the Gulf Coast League game.
